This blog is very much a work in progress.

It is hoped that it will be of interest to all who live, have lived or have ancestors and are researching family history in the village of Thurlby/Northorpe.

At a later date I will have a list of records from St Firmins Vestry that I can search on request also a link to a photo data base , many of the photos date back to the late 1800′s and show local families at work and play.

We are very much indebted to the Rev.W.G.Summers who, when Vicar of Thurlby, researched and provided much of the information that we have available today.
